Nominations can be submitted as a 300-word statement OR a 3-minute video highlighting how the nominee has hit all or some of the elements outlined in the category criteria; try and include as much tangible evidence as possible.

Code First Girls was founded to give women the fair advantage in the tech sector. Women make up only 23% of the people working in tech, and hold only 5% of leadership roles.

Since 2017, Code First Girls has taught over 20,000 women to code for free, connecting them with dozens of technology employers. Code First Girls has built a coalition of diverse women in technology, connecting candidates, employers and educators to upskill the next generation of tech leaders and provide employability opportunities for women at every stage of their careers.

Each year CFG teaches more women to code than the entire UK university system and will double the size of their community in the next year.
